Downtown Ice is a seasonal ice rink in San Jose that has been a beloved tradition for 30 years. Its distinctive circular rink, surrounded by 32 palm trees known as the Circle of Palms, creates a uniquely Californian holiday experience.

After years of inconsistent logos and signage replacements, Downtown Ice needed a cohesive brand with a recognizable identity that captured the rink’s unique charm. The visitor experience had to be seamless and inviting. We developed a bold, friendly visual identity and a system of iconography that welcomes guests and helps skaters navigate their experience.
